June Festival Nepal: Rice Plantation Day- 29th June 2017

The rice plantation festival is the day for climax of rice planting all over Nepal.

This festival know as the Ashar Pandhara which is celebrated by the farmers groups all over Nepal. Its means the day where the crop planting is started. This is the one of the important festival in monsoon time.

Touch the Earth , sow a tender rice sapling, sing and dance with enjoyments of mud and take a nice shower. This festival gives positive vibes to the farmers and they start planting. Tourists also get take part in this festivals in different parts of the country.

Celebration remains again with the feast of Dahi-Chiura (Yogurt and beaten rice).
